Plug in your 20 pin power supply connector to tester.
Check LED Light for each output (Power Good Signal / +3.3V/+5V/+12V/-5V/-12V and +5Vsb).
If output is present, the individual LED will light-up and you
will hear a sound. If the individual LED does not light-up
and no sound is heard then that particular output is not
present.
Plug the hard drive (HDD) power connector to check pass or
fail.
Remove HDD power connector and plug in P4 connector to check
pass or fail.
When plugging
in the P4 connector, ensure that it is properly aligned with the
connector key to prevent damage.
Remove P4 power connector and plug in floppy (FDD) connector
to check pass or fail.
Note:Many current power
supplies do not supply -5V. Failure is not
indicated if the -5V LED does not light-up. This only
indicates that the -5V output is not present.
